Connected: How to find a home school support group. During this workshop, Sheryl will discuss the different levels of homeschool support and how to find the right fit for your family.  Participants will receive information regarding the various forms of support available in the Central Iowa area as well as ideas about how to start your own support group. A day in the life. If you’ve decided on home education but aren’t sure about execution, attend this talk. Local mom Tamara will draw on her experience — the good stuff as well as the mistakes — of teaching three kids in what a ‘typical’ homeschool day might look like.

Carolyn Morrison and Jen Leonhard

Taking the Mystery Out of Learning Styles. This informative workshop will show you how to use your students’ strengths to improve their weaknesses. Handiwork and Crafts for Academics. As a Waldorf eduation teacher in a traditional and home setting, local mom Kristie will give you great ideas to use immediately.

What is Waldorf. If you’re having trouble identifying your “teaching philosophy,”  listen to Kristie explain what Waldorf education is all about, giving examples from her experience. Kristie’s bio is here.

I personally got email from someone from related to girls day in science. there doesn’t seem to be any info on the webk so I’m putting info here and at three sisters’ blog. instead of sending me email, just to the blog to download the info and form here.  My 15 yo attended this and had a god time when she was the right age. free admission, free t shirt, first 200 kids.
