SEE the fun being had by all ages at a Three Sisters Program!

Civil War Program

Have you ever wondered what a real lady from the Civil War South would look like?  Did you know a soldier’s gun was as tall as the soldier himself?  Did you know a lady’s hand-held fan could say so much?  Come to a Three Sisters Program to find out the answers to these, and any other question you can think of!

Civil War 1

Stepping back into time...

Volunteers stood up to wear the garb of a soldier in the era of the Civil War.  Mrs. Shannon wears the traditional dress of a southern lady.

Civil War 2

Dressing up is fun!

Two more faithful volunteers step forward to wear their uniforms proudly!  (As one soldier tries to hold up the heavy, tall-as-me-one-shot gun!)

Japanese Tea Ceremony

Yoko Tanaka did a wonderful demonstration of what “having tea” means in Japan.  There are many proper rules and rich meanings behind the ceremony.
